Two of Bermuda's rising beach volleyball talents are set to test themselves on the international stage later this month, with Natalie Gazzard and Megan Hands confirmed to compete at the NORCECA U23 Beach Continental Tour event in San Salvador, El Salvador, from October 16 to 18.

The Bermuda Volleyball Association announced the selection this week, noting that Gazzard, a defender, and Hands, a blocker, have formed a strong partnership over the course of the season. The pair has already flown the island's flag at international competition in 2026, and association officials believe the El Salvador tournament offers another valuable opportunity for the duo to gain experience against top regional opposition.

The NORCECA U23 Beach Continental Tour brings together national teams from across North America, Central America and the Caribbean, providing young athletes with ranking points and exposure to high-level play. For Bermuda, participation in such events is seen as a key part of developing the island's beach volleyball programme and building depth ahead of future regional and international competitions.

Gazzard and Hands are expected to depart for Central America ahead of the opening matches, with the BVA expressing confidence that the pair can build on their recent performances. Results from the San Salvador stop will contribute to their standing on the continental tour as the season progresses.
