Commuters and visitors relying on Bermuda's ferry service may face minor delays on the Green and Blue routes after several vessels developed mechanical issues, the Department of Marine & Ports has advised.
A Government spokesperson confirmed that the affected ferries are currently experiencing technical problems, and passengers travelling on the two routes should allow extra time for their journeys while the situation is addressed.
The ferry network remains a vital link for residents travelling between Hamilton, Dockyard and the East End, and any disruption can have knock-on effects for workers, schoolchildren and tourists during the busy season. Marine & Ports staff are understood to be working to return the vessels to full service as quickly as possible.
The Department has apologised for any inconvenience caused and encouraged passengers to check for updates before travelling. Further announcements are expected as repairs progress and normal scheduling resumes across the island's ferry routes.
