In a generous move, insurance and reinsurance giant Aon has pledged $15,000 to the Coalition for the Protection of Children to support its Breakfast for Every Child Programme. The contribution will enable the delivery of a full school‑year breakfast program at one primary school in Bermuda.
The Coalition, which partners with schools to provide nutritious meals to children before classes begin, said the funding will help ensure that students start each day with a wholesome breakfast, potentially improving concentration and academic performance. Aon spokesperson Tom Jackson highlighted the company’s commitment to community welfare, noting that the donation reflects Aon’s broader corporate responsibility strategy.
Local educators and parents welcomed the support, underscoring the importance of consistent breakfast provision for students’ health and learning outcomes. The school that will receive the meals is scheduled to begin the program in September, with the Coalition managing distribution and monitoring.
Aon’s donation follows a series of corporate contributions to Bermudian charities this year, reinforcing the company’s role as a key supporter of social initiatives throughout the island.
