Hamilton, Bermuda – The FrayStar Cricket Institute will host its annual Gratitude and Appreciation Banquet on Thursday, 1 November, at Pier 6. The event will feature former Bermuda national cricketer Dennico Hollis, who will speak about his journey from the local pitches to seven seasons in Scotland and back to the island as a coach.

Hollis, who currently plays for Bailey’s Bay, joined FrayStar last year after returning from Scotland. The banquet, organised by the institute’s board, aims to celebrate the contributions of players, coaches and volunteers to Bermuda cricket. Attendees will include club officials, senior players and community members who have supported the sport.

In his address, Hollis is expected to reflect on the role of local coaching and mentorship in shaping his career and the development of cricket on the island. The institute’s programme, which has already produced several national team prospects, will showcase how overseas experience can enrich domestic training.

The banquet will also feature a presentation of awards and the distribution of a commemorative plaque. Local media and community leaders are invited to join the celebration of Bermuda’s cricketing heritage and future prospects.
