Trevor Lindsay, the former Bermudian international cricketer, has been appointed as the new Director of Youth Cricket Development for the Bermuda Cricket Association (BCA). The 44‑year‑old, who represented the Gombey Cricket Club and the national side in the early 2000s, will take over the role from March 1, 2026.
In a statement released by the BCA, the association highlighted Lindsay’s extensive experience as a player and coach. "We are delighted to welcome Trevor back to Bermuda," said BCA Chairwoman Marcia James. "His commitment to nurturing local talent will be invaluable as we work to elevate the standard of cricket across the island."
Lindsay will oversee the BCA’s Youth Academy, responsible for identifying and mentoring players aged 12 to 18 from community clubs. He plans to introduce a structured coaching curriculum, partner with schools to integrate cricket into physical‑education programmes, and secure sponsorships for equipment and travel to regional tournaments.
The appointment comes as Bermuda looks to strengthen its position in Caribbean cricket. The BCA hopes that Lindsay’s leadership will help the national side build a pipeline of skilled players ready to compete in the upcoming ICC Americas Championship and beyond.
