Bermuda’s Department of Immigration and Customs has rolled out a new set of declaration forms for travellers arriving on the island. The revised paperwork, which will be available on the official government website and at all immigration desks, aims to streamline the entry process and ensure that visitors comply with the latest import regulations.
The updated forms differ from the previous version in several key areas. They now include a digital signature option, allowing travellers to complete the declaration online before arrival. The changes also clarify the list of prohibited items, such as certain plants and animal products, and provide a clearer definition of what constitutes a “personal item” versus an “item for sale.” Officials say the new format will reduce processing times at customs checkpoints and minimise confusion for both tourists and returning residents.
Travelers are advised to review the new forms at least 24 hours prior to departure. The Department of Immigration and Customs will continue to offer assistance at the airport and in Port Royal for those who need help completing the paperwork. The update is part of a broader effort to modernise Bermuda’s border controls and improve the overall visitor experience.
