The Progressive Labour Party’s Youth Wing, Progressive Minds, will convene a public forum titled ‘Speak Your Mind’ on Thursday, 22 October. The event is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Alaska Hall, the party’s headquarters on Parliament Hill, and is open to Bermudians aged 35 and under.
In a statement released earlier this week, representatives of Progressive Minds expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to hear directly from young citizens about issues ranging from employment and education to housing and environmental stewardship. The forum is part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen its connection with the island’s younger demographic and to integrate their perspectives into forthcoming policy proposals.
Participants will be able to pose questions to party leaders, share concerns, and propose solutions in a relaxed, informal setting. The event will run for approximately two hours and will conclude with a brief keynote address by the party’s Youth Wing chair.
The Progressive Labour Party has previously highlighted the importance of civic engagement among younger residents, citing a growing trend of youth participation in local governance. ‘Speak Your Mind’ seeks to build on that momentum by providing a structured platform for open dialogue.
The forum will be free to attend, and no prior registration is required. Interested Bermudians are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat.
