Age Concern Bermuda, the island’s leading charity dedicated to the welfare of older residents, will convene a public general meeting on Monday, October 27, to review its 2023‑24 activities and chart plans for the coming year.
The gathering will take place at the Royal National Park, starting at 2 p.m. and running until 4 p.m. The agenda includes a presentation of the annual financial report, a review of service usage statistics, and a discussion of forthcoming projects such as expanded meal‑delivery programs and a community‑based mobility support scheme. The meeting will also provide a forum for members and the wider public to ask questions and contribute ideas.
"Our seniors are the backbone of this community," said Chairperson Elizabeth Clarke in a brief pre‑meeting statement. "We want to ensure that the services we offer are not only effective but also responsive to the changing needs of our population.")
Attendance is free and open to all Bermudians. Interested parties are encouraged to RSVP by emailing [email protected] or calling (441) 555‑0199. The meeting will help shape Age Concern’s strategy as Bermuda’s senior population, now about 12 % of the total, continues to grow.
