Bermuda has recorded its strongest superyacht season on record, with industry officials crediting the island's growing presence at international events, including the Monaco Yacht Show, for helping to attract more large vessels to local waters.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority and marine industry stakeholders said the island hosted a notable increase in visiting superyachts over the past year, with vessels calling at Hamilton, St George's and Dockyard. The uptick has translated into additional spending on provisioning, fuel, berthing and onshore excursions, providing a welcome boost to marinas, chandlers and hospitality businesses across the island.

Officials said Bermuda's participation in the Monaco Yacht Show and other European industry events has raised the island's profile among yacht owners, captains and charter brokers, positioning it as an attractive stopover between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Efforts to streamline clearance procedures and improve marina facilities have also been cited as factors in the growth.

Government representatives welcomed the figures, noting that superyacht visitors tend to be high-spending and that the sector supports local jobs in marine services and tourism. Stakeholders say they intend to build on the momentum in the coming season by deepening relationships forged in Monaco and continuing to market Bermuda as a premier destination in the Atlantic for the world's largest private vessels.
