Aeziah Divine and Jediah Cumbermack brought pride to Bermuda by finishing in the top ten of the R&G Moto4 British Cup at Donington Park in Leicestershire on Sunday, October 3. Divine captured an impressive fifth place, completing 14 laps in 23 minutes 36.464 seconds on his Fibre Tec Honda for MLav Racing, while Cumbermack finished ninth.
Both riders showcased the growing talent of Bermuda’s motorcycle community on one of England’s premier tracks. The British Cup, a fiercely competitive series featuring up‑to‑date technology and seasoned international competitors, provided a platform for the Bermudian riders to demonstrate their skill and determination.
"It’s a proud moment for us,” said Divine. “We wanted to show that Bermudian riders can compete at this level.” Cumbermack echoed this sentiment, noting the support from local sponsors and the importance of representing the island on a global stage.
The results are a boost for Bermuda’s motorsport ambitions, encouraging young riders to pursue racing and drawing attention to the island’s potential as a destination for motorsport events. The news will be highlighted in the upcoming issue of the Bermuda Observer, where we will feature interviews with the riders and discuss the future of motorcycle racing in Bermuda.
