Bermudian sailor Christian Ebbin was part of the Tulane University crew that secured a sixth-place finish at the Danmark Trophy, a two-day collegiate regatta held on the Thames River in New London, Connecticut.

The event, hosted by the United States Coast Guard Academy on October 3 and 4, drew 19 teams from across the American collegiate sailing circuit. Tulane accumulated 188 points over the course of the competition, which featured 11 races in each division, to finish inside the top third of the fleet.

Ebbin, who has represented Bermuda on the international sailing stage, continues to build his résumé in the highly competitive world of US college sailing. Tulane's programme has become a notable destination for talented sailors, and the sixth-place showing against a deep field underlines the team's consistency across both days of racing.

The Danmark Trophy is one of the longer-running events on the collegiate calendar, and strong performances there are often seen as a marker of form heading into the heart of the autumn season. For Bermuda's sailing community, Ebbin's steady progress at the university level adds to the island's proud tradition of producing competitive sailors who perform well beyond its shores.
