Sean Trott and Marta Komarkova claimed the headline victories at the second annual Word of Life Bermuda 5K, leading the fields across the line in the island's latest road racing fixture.
Trott topped the men's standings with a winning time of 16:25.88, a performance that also earned him the men's 20-39 age group title. Komarkova was the first woman to finish, stopping the clock at 22:38.45 to secure the women's 20-39 crown.
The event, now in its second year, offered more than a standard road race, with organisers adding a time-handicap challenge that gave runners of varying abilities an extra competitive element alongside the traditional age group categories.
The race is one of a growing number of community running events on Bermuda's calendar, drawing both seasoned competitors chasing fast times and recreational runners taking part for fitness and fun. Organisers said they were pleased with the turnout for the event's sophomore edition and expressed hope that the Word of Life 5K will continue to grow in the years ahead.
