At the National Sports Centre South Field on Saturday evening, Warwick Academy secured the Primary School B Division six‑a‑side championship after a dramatic late goal. Caleb Furbert, a third‑year student, found the back of the net in the final minutes, turning a tight contest into a triumph for the Warriors.

The match, which finished 1-0 in favour of Warwick, had been closely contested from the outset. Both teams displayed strong tactical play and defensive resilience, but it was the Warriors’ persistence that paid off when Furbert broke through the Saltus Grammar School defence, converting a rebound for the decisive score.

School coaches from both sides praised the players’ sportsmanship and the enthusiasm of the spectators. Warwick’s team captain remarked that the victory was a testament to the club’s training programme and the supportive community that surrounds the Academy.

Officials from the Bermuda Primary Schools Sports Association highlighted the event as a showcase of young talent and a reminder of the role of school sport in fostering teamwork and healthy competition across the island. The championship win marks a proud moment for Warwick Academy and a promising start to the school’s sporting calendar for the year.
