On Saturday, the Bermuda School Swimming Federation (BSSF) Championships concluded at the Aquatic Centre in Hamilton with Warwick and Saltus Schools taking the overall titles. The event, featuring teams from across the island, saw 12 events for boys and girls ranging from sprint freestyle to distance medley. Warwick’s men’s squad outscored the field with a new aggregate record, while Saltus’s girls’ team captured the top spot.

Key performances highlighted the depth of talent on both teams. Warwick’s lead swimmer, 17‑year‑old Jonah Kincaid, finished the 100‑meter freestyle in 55.32 seconds, the fastest time of the meet. Saltus’s star, 16‑year‑old Marissa Lee, dominated the 200‑meter butterfly with a 2:12.85, setting a new school record. Coaches from both schools praised the athletes’ discipline and the support from the local swimming community.

These victories underscore Bermuda’s growing reputation for developing competitive swimmers. The championships serve as a stepping‑stone for the national trials and potential selection for international meets. "Our swimmers are showing tremendous growth," remarked Warwick’s head coach, Mark Thompson. "The hard work and community support will carry us forward into the next season."
