The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) has confirmed its 14‑player squad that will represent the island in the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, starting 24 October. The selected youngsters will compete against top teams from around the globe, giving Bermuda a chance to showcase its emerging talent on the world stage.
"We are proud of the dedication and skill these players have shown throughout the selection process," said BFA spokesperson, who highlighted the importance of international exposure for the athletes. The festival will run alongside the main tournament, offering additional development opportunities through workshops and friendly matches.
Bermuda’s participation follows the island’s growing commitment to youth football, building on the successes of previous U17 and U20 squads. The BFA intends to use this experience to strengthen the national program, encouraging local clubs to invest in grassroots coaching and facilities.
The U15 team will travel to Azerbaijan in late October, with the BFA coordinating logistics, training schedules and cultural briefings. Officials hope the trip will inspire a new generation of Bermudian footballers to pursue the sport at a higher level and bring back the experience to enrich local competitions.
