PartnerRe, the nation’s leading reinsurance firm, hosted its inaugural Women’s 5K Run on Saturday, drawing a crowd of over 300 participants from across Bermuda. The event, held along the scenic stretch of the Hamilton waterfront, aimed to celebrate female fitness, raise awareness for women’s health initiatives and support local charities.

Local runners, ranging from seasoned athletes to first‑time participants, completed the course through the historic streets of St. George’s and the scenic shores of the Royal Naval Dockyard. The finish line was marked by a podium that featured the PartnerRe logo and a banner highlighting the partnership with the Bermuda Women’s Health Foundation.

In addition to the race, the company organized a health‑check station staffed by physicians from the Bermuda Health Services, offering free blood‑pressure and BMI screenings to attendees. PartnerRe’s CEO, Laura Sinclair, addressed the crowd, stressing the importance of community engagement and healthy lifestyle choices.

The funds raised during the event will be donated to the foundation’s research and education programs, further cementing PartnerRe’s commitment to social responsibility and the well‑being of Bermuda’s women.

The success of the Women’s 5K reflects growing interest in inclusive sporting events on the island and positions PartnerRe as a catalyst for positive community change.
