The Bermudian Electoral Office announced on Monday that early voting will commence on Monday, 12 September, giving residents an opportunity to cast their ballots before the scheduled general election on 10 October 2026.
Voting will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bermuda National Library in Hamilton and the St. George’s Town Hall. Citizens who are not able to attend on election day can also use the early voting system sent to their registered addresses, provided they submit a completed voter eligibility form by 10:00 a.m. on the final day of early voting.
The new early voting window is part of the Electoral Office’s effort to increase voter participation and reduce congestion at polling stations on the day of the election. According to the Office, the system will allow the total number of eligible voters to be verified and the ballots to be counted in a timely manner.
"We are pleased to offer more flexibility for Bermudians who may have work or travel commitments," said Acting Director of the Electoral Office. "Early voting is a proven method to improve turnout and ensure a smoother election process."
All voters must present a valid Bermudian identification card and their registered voting address to be eligible to vote early.
