Bermuda’s netball scene is buzzing as governing body Netball Bermuda opens the door to a brand‑new season. The association announced a packed calendar of competitions for the upcoming months, ranging from grassroots youth tournaments to the top‑flight Premier League. The schedule, released at a public press briefing in Hamilton, includes 11 club teams, a series of invitational matches, and a developmental clinic for players under 18.

Netball Bermuda’s president, Sarah Collins, highlighted the sport’s growing popularity on the island. "We’re proud to see more young Bermudians stepping onto the court," Collins said. She added that the new season will feature enhanced training resources, a refreshed code of play, and a partnership with the Bermuda Sports Foundation to support community outreach programmes.

Local clubs are preparing for the high‑intensity schedule. The Hamilton Hurricanes and the St. George’s Gems, both long‑standing rivals, are already finalising rosters and securing sponsorships. The association also announced a new “Bermuda Netball Week” event to coincide with the annual Island Festival, aiming to attract visitors and showcase home‑grown talent.

With netball’s fast‑paced action and strong local support, the upcoming season promises to energise players, fans and the wider community alike, reinforcing Bermuda’s reputation as a vibrant sporting destination.
