Travellers arriving in or departing from Bermuda must now complete a revised customs declaration, with the new Customs Traveller Declaration — Form 98 (3/26) — having taken effect on October 1, 2026.

The Customs Department confirmed the updated form is now mandatory for all persons passing through the island's ports of entry and exit. A Government spokesperson said the revision modernises Bermuda's customs declaration process and introduces enhanced requirements for declaring certain goods carried by travellers.

The changes are intended to strengthen border controls and bring the island's declaration procedures in line with current standards. Officials are encouraging residents and visitors alike to familiarise themselves with the new form before travelling, particularly those carrying items that may be subject to duty or restrictions.

Copies of the updated declaration are available through the Customs Department, and travellers can obtain further information on the revised requirements via official government channels. The department has indicated it will work with airlines, the airport and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition as passengers adjust to the new documentation.

Anyone with questions about what must be declared under the enhanced requirements is advised to contact the Customs Department directly ahead of their journey.
