Bermuda’s hospitality scene may soon get a splash of international flair as Bacardi International has announced its new Bartender Training program. The programme, aimed at developing the next generation of mixologists, is now accepting applications from bartenders worldwide, including those based on the island.

The training will cover a range of skills – from classic rum cocktails to contemporary craft drinks – and will be delivered through a blend of online modules and in‑person workshops in key markets such as New York, Miami and London. For Bermudian bartenders, the opportunity means a chance to learn from industry leaders and gain certification that is recognised across the Caribbean and beyond. The program is free for applicants who meet the basic eligibility criteria, with the option to receive a stipend for travel and accommodation during the in‑person phase.

Local hotels and restaurants are watching closely, as the initiative could help raise the profile of Bermuda’s bars and pubs. The island’s tourism board has highlighted the importance of high‑quality service in keeping visitors coming back. Applying for the Bacardi training could give Bermudian staff a competitive edge and bring fresh ideas to the island’s vibrant nightlife.

Applications close on 31 October. Interested bartenders can find details and submit their resumes on Bacardi’s official website.
