Age Concern Bermuda announced that its 2026 Public General Meeting will take place on Saturday, 27 October, at T. N. Tatem Middle School in Hamilton. The organisation’s board will review the past year’s achievements and outline upcoming programmes aimed at supporting the island’s growing senior population.

The event will feature Minister Kim Wilson, who will address the assembly on the government’s commitment to enhancing services for older adults. Age Concern has highlighted initiatives such as free health workshops, community walking groups and digital literacy classes that have seen increased participation since the start of the pandemic.

Board chair, Dr. Louise Carter, welcomed members, partners and community residents, noting that collaboration across sectors is key to sustaining the organisation’s impact. "Our success depends on the support of local businesses, faith groups and volunteers," she said.

In addition to the ministerial address, the meeting will provide a platform for members to ask questions, share feedback and consider new partnership opportunities. Age Concern’s executive director, Mr. Daniel Matthews, reminded attendees of an upcoming volunteer recruitment drive and urged seniors to engage with the organisation’s support services.

The meeting is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend to learn how Age Concern is shaping the future of elder care in Bermuda.
