The Black Pony Gallery and the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art have jointly launched “Atlantic Voices,” a group show that brings together six contemporary artists from the Caribbean and the Mid‑Atlantic region. The exhibition opens this week at the Black Pony Gallery on Main Street and will remain on display until the end of September.
The program features Bermudian painters Meredith Andrews, Abi Box and Charles Zuill, alongside artist Jason A. Bennett and sculptor Sue Katz from the Bahamas, and Leonor Loope Almeida Pereira of the Azores. Each artist contributes a distinct voice that reflects the cultural richness of the Atlantic world. The show includes mixed‑media works, large canvases, and sculptural installations that invite visitors to explore themes of identity, migration, and the sea.
Local art critics and community members have welcomed the exhibition as a significant opportunity for Bermudians to see contemporary work that resonates with their own experiences while connecting to a broader regional narrative. The opening reception will feature live music and a panel discussion with the artists, offering insight into the creative process and the importance of cross‑cultural dialogue.
The exhibition is free to the public and encourages residents and visitors alike to experience the dynamic visual conversation unfolding in Bermuda’s own cultural institutions.
