Masterworks Gallery in Hamilton will open a new permanent exhibit, "Bermuda’s Tapestry," on September 15, offering a dynamic blend of local and international art that reflects the island’s maritime culture and natural beauty. The collection, curated by local art historian Dr. Elena Marquez, features works from emerging Bermudian painters, sculptors, and mixed‑media artists alongside pieces by renowned Caribbean creatives.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m. on the first day and will be attended by members of the Bermuda Arts Council, local government officials, and visiting dignitaries. The event is expected to attract both residents and tourists, providing a cultural highlight for the weekend’s itinerary. Masterworks’ director, Mark Stevens, expressed enthusiasm for the exhibit’s role in promoting Bermuda’s creative community.

"By showcasing the stories and landscapes that define our island, we hope to deepen visitors’ appreciation for Bermuda’s artistic and environmental richness," Stevens said. The exhibit will run until January 30, with guided tours available on weekdays.

The launch of this show aligns with the Bermuda Tourism Board’s initiative to boost cultural tourism. Visitors are encouraged to explore the galleries and support local artists, reinforcing the island’s position as a vibrant hub for the arts in the North Atlantic.
