The Bermuda Bicycle Association has confirmed that its annual Presidents Cup Road Race will run on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and concluding around 11:30 a.m. Racers will start and finish on Crow Lane, with the course weaving through the heart of Hamilton and surrounding neighbourhoods before returning to the original point.
Local officials urge motorists to be mindful of the event, which will temporarily close several lanes to accommodate the 12‑mile route that showcases the island’s scenic streets and historic landmarks. The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has issued a traffic advisory urging drivers to allow extra travel time and to use alternate routes where possible.
The Presidents Cup, first staged in 1995, has grown into a cornerstone of Bermuda’s sporting calendar, attracting riders from across the North Atlantic. In addition to the competitive race, the Association plans a post‑event celebration featuring a live band, refreshments, and a showcase of the island’s cycling clubs. The event also serves as a fundraiser for local youth sports programs.
Bermudian cycling enthusiasts and families are expected to attend in large numbers, underscoring the community’s growing interest in sustainable sports and outdoor recreation. The race’s timing, early in the morning, aims to minimise disruption while giving riders a clear and safe route through the island’s bustling capital.
