Luscar Place, a Hamilton‑based real‑estate developer and property‑management company, marked its twentieth anniversary this week with a community‑focused celebration. The event, held at the company’s flagship office on St. David’s Street, attracted senior staff, local dignitaries and representatives from the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 2003 by entrepreneur Michael Jefferson, Luscar Place has grown from a modest portfolio of residential units into a diversified developer of mixed‑use projects across Bermuda. Over the past two decades the firm has delivered more than 400 housing units, renovated historic buildings in St. George’s, and partnered with the Bermuda Tourism Authority on several waterfront revitalisation projects.
“We’re proud of the role Luscar Place has played in shaping Bermuda’s built environment,” said Jefferson at the ceremony. He highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability, citing the use of locally sourced materials and the installation of solar panels on several of its recent developments.
The company also announced a new scholarship fund for undergraduate students pursuing studies in architecture and urban planning at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, underscoring its dedication to nurturing local talent. The celebration closed with a reception featuring local musicians and a preview of Luscar Place’s upcoming flagship project – a mixed‑use complex slated for completion in 2028.
The event underscored Luscar Place’s continued contribution to Bermuda’s economic growth and cultural heritage, reaffirming its position as a key player in the island’s real‑estate landscape.
