The 5‑kilometre community run in Hamilton will take place on Saturday, 14 November, with all proceeds going to Word of Life Bermuda, the local branch of the international evangelical charity. The event, organised by the Bermuda Sports Council and the Hamilton Rotary Club, is expected to draw more than 300 runners and walkers from across the island.

Word of Life Bermuda focuses on spiritual outreach, youth mentorship and community support. The organisation will use the funds to expand its summer camp programme for local children and to purchase new educational materials for its outreach centres.

The race route will start at the Hamilton harbour, loop through the historic streets and finish at the Bermuda Cultural Centre. Participants will receive a commemorative T‑shirt and a race bib that highlights the charity’s logo. Local businesses such as the Island Café and the Bermudian Bank have pledged sponsorship, adding prizes for the top finishers.

"The community’s support for Word of Life Bermuda is a testament to the island’s spirit of togetherness," said event coordinator Ms. Carla Thompson. "We hope the race inspires more Bermudians to get involved, whether by running, volunteering or simply spreading the word." The event will also include a post‑race reception featuring live music and refreshments, providing an opportunity for runners and donors to meet the charity’s volunteers.

The BermudaObserver will cover the event’s final results and the total amount raised, giving readers a comprehensive view of how the race will benefit Word of Life Bermuda’s ongoing projects.
