Warwick Camp played host over the past two weeks to a cohort of fourteen junior officers drawn from four regional defence forces, with the Royal Bermuda Regiment welcoming counterparts from the Turks & Caicos Islands Regiment, the Cayman Islands Regiment and the Jamaica Defence Force for an intensive training programme.
The course, delivered by British Army personnel, centred on strengthening the officers' grasp of strategic planning, with participants working through material designed to sharpen their leadership and operational decision-making skills. The visiting officers trained alongside their Bermudian colleagues throughout the two-week engagement.
A spokesperson for the Regiment confirmed the programme's completion, noting that the fourteen participants had enhanced their understanding of strategic planning during their time at the camp. The initiative reflects ongoing cooperation between Bermuda's defence establishment and partner forces across the Caribbean region, building professional ties that extend well beyond the island's shores.
The Royal Bermuda Regiment has regularly served as a venue for joint regional training, and officials say such exchanges remain an important part of developing the next generation of officers across the participating forces.
