Bermudian strength athlete Brittany Denbrook has earned her International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) certification, a milestone that will enable her to compete in sanctioned international meets and potentially coach the next generation of local lifters.

Denbrook, who has trained at the Bermuda Powerlifting Club in Hamilton for the past four years, completed the IPF’s rigorous certification process at a regional workshop held in Nassau earlier this month. The certification confirms that she meets the federation’s technical and safety standards, and it allows her to register for events such as the IPF World Championships and the Pan‑American Powerlifting Championships.

"I’m thrilled to have this credential, as it opens doors for me to represent Bermuda on the world stage and to bring back new techniques and knowledge to our local community," Denbrook said. "The support from my coach, the club, and the Bermuda Powerlifting Association has been incredible throughout this journey."

The Bermuda Powerlifting Association welcomed the achievement, noting that Denbrook’s success could inspire more young athletes to pursue strength sports. "Her dedication and hard work are a testament to what can be achieved with local resources and international guidance," said club president Marcus Smith. "We look forward to seeing her compete and share her experience with aspiring lifters across the island."

Denbrook is scheduled to travel to Toronto next month for the IPF North American Championships, a move that underscores Bermuda’s growing presence in the global strength‑sports community.
