Residents and visitors alike can now take in Bermuda from an entirely different vantage point, thanks to a new virtual art gallery featuring authentic images of the island captured from space. The online exhibition, titled "Bermuda From Space," draws on photographs sourced from NASA to present the island as astronauts and satellites see it — a slender arc of land set against the deep blues of the Atlantic Ocean.

The collection highlights features that are difficult to appreciate from ground level, including the island's distinctive fishhook shape, the patchwork of reefs ringing its shores, and the varying shades of turquoise and cobalt that mark the surrounding waters. The gallery format allows viewers to browse the images at their own pace from any device, making the exhibition accessible to audiences both on-island and abroad.

Organisers say the project offers a rare opportunity to see Bermuda's natural landscape in its full geographic context, something few people ever experience firsthand. For many residents, the images provide a fresh appreciation of just how small — and how striking — the island appears when viewed from high above Earth.

The virtual gallery is available to view online now, free of charge. It joins a growing series of digital exhibitions aimed at celebrating the island's scenery, culture and heritage through photography and visual art.
