The Bermuda Police Service held its annual gala dinner this weekend, bringing together serving officers, civilian staff, retired members and community supporters for an evening of recognition and celebration.
The event, attended by senior command staff and invited guests, featured awards acknowledging long service, exemplary conduct and contributions to policing across the island. Photographs from the evening show attendees in formal attire gathered at the venue, with the Commissioner of Police among those addressing the room and presenting honours to recipients.
Organisers said the gala serves as an opportunity to reflect on the work of the Service over the past year, including community outreach initiatives, road safety campaigns and efforts to strengthen relationships between officers and residents. Several community partners who work alongside the BPS on crime prevention and youth programmes were also recognised during the evening.
The gala dinner has become a fixture on the Service's calendar, offering a rare occasion for officers and their families to gather outside of duty hours. Proceeds and support connected to the event have in past years benefited charitable causes linked to policing and community welfare in Bermuda.
