Port Royal Golf Course will host a field of international stars from Thursday, 22 October, to Sunday, 25 October, as the Butterfield Bermuda Championship returns to the island’s fairways. Five‑time PGA Tour champion Camilo Villegas, three‑time tour winner Brendon Todd, defending champion Adam Schenk, and fellow tour competitor Rafael Campos are among the golfers expected to compete.
The tournament, which draws players from around the globe, provides a showcase for Bermuda’s links‑style course and offers an opportunity for local fans to see world‑class talent up close. The event also supports the island’s tourism sector, with visitors attracted to the combination of competitive golf, scenic ocean views and the relaxed Bermudian atmosphere.
Officials from the Bermuda Golf Association have welcomed the return of the championship and noted that the influx of visitors will boost accommodation, dining and retail activity in the capital. The association also plans to run a series of clinics and youth outreach programs in conjunction with the tournament, aiming to inspire the next generation of Bermudian golfers.
