Bermuda's emerging creative talent took centre stage this week as winners of the 10th Annual Mirrors Art & Digital Competition were recognised at a Prize Giving Ceremony held on the island.
The milestone edition of the competition attracted more than 200 submissions from young people across Bermuda, marking a strong showing for the programme, which has spent a decade encouraging artistic expression among the island's youth. Entries spanned both traditional art and digital media, reflecting the growing range of creative skills being developed locally.
The Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, the Hon. Tinee Furbert, JP, MP, attended the ceremony to celebrate the creativity and achievements of the island's young artists, according to a Government spokesperson. The Minister praised participants for their imagination and dedication, noting the importance of providing platforms where young Bermudians can showcase their work.
The Mirrors programme has long focused on youth development and community engagement in Bermuda, and the annual competition has become a fixture in the island's cultural calendar. Organisers said the continued growth in entries demonstrates the enthusiasm of Bermuda's young people for the arts.
Winners received recognition for their outstanding pieces, with the ceremony serving as both a celebration of this year's accomplishments and a testament to ten years of fostering home-grown artistic talent.
