Three Bermudian footballers played starring roles as Westtown School secured a 2-0 win over the Perkiomen Panthers in a boys' varsity football fixture in Pennsylvania.

Malik Paynter, Amir Weller and Amori Simons all featured for the Quaker school in the victory, which came against a Perkiomen side that included fellow Bermudian Xyior Basden. The result meant the island had representation on both sides of the pitch, highlighting the growing presence of Bermudian talent in American prep school football.

The encounter served as a showcase of local players continuing their development overseas, with the four young men gaining valuable competitive experience in the United States school system. Such opportunities have become an increasingly common pathway for Bermuda's aspiring footballers, offering exposure to high-level coaching and competition while pursuing their education.

For Paynter, Weller and Simons, the clean-sheet victory will be a confidence boost as Westtown's season progresses, while Basden and Perkiomen will look to bounce back in their next outing. Bermuda football followers will no doubt keep a close eye on all four players as their campaigns unfold stateside.
