The Bermuda Police Service welcomed dozens of the island's senior citizens to the Hamilton Princess on Wednesday for its annual Seniors' Tea, one of the signature community events on the Police Week calendar.
Guests turned out in their finest attire for the afternoon gathering, which gave older residents a chance to catch up with friends, enjoy refreshments and mingle with officers in a relaxed setting away from the usual demands of policing. The large turnout underscored the event's popularity among Bermuda's senior community, many of whom look forward to the occasion each year.
The tea forms part of a wider programme of Police Week activities designed to strengthen ties between the Service and the public it serves. Community-focused events such as this one have long been a tradition of the annual celebration, offering residents of all ages an opportunity to engage with officers face to face.
Police Week festivities are set to continue across the island in the coming days, with further events planned to showcase the work of the Service and celebrate its relationship with the community.
