The Bermuda Monetary Authority has brought its participation in World Investor Week 2026 to a close with an online session aimed at boosting financial literacy among island residents.
The webinar, held on Thursday, 8 October, formed part of the global initiative designed to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection. The Authority said the event was intended to help make financial knowledge more accessible to the Bermudian public, giving participants practical insight into managing their money and understanding investment risks.
World Investor Week is an international campaign promoted by securities regulators around the globe, and the BMA has regularly taken part as part of its broader mandate to safeguard consumers and promote stability within Bermuda's financial services sector. Officials noted that informed investors are better equipped to recognise fraud, avoid scams and make sound decisions about savings and retirement planning.
The Authority said it remains committed to expanding public education efforts and encouraged residents to take advantage of the resources available through its website. Further outreach initiatives are expected as the regulator continues its work to strengthen financial capability across the island.
