The Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society (BMDS) will stage its latest play, "Witch," from 15 to 23 October at the historic Daylesford Theatre. The production marks a new chapter in the society’s tradition of community‑driven theatre, with a majority of the creative team drawn from the island’s younger generation.
The cast, crew and production staff are largely composed of students and emerging artists from local schools and universities. They will collaborate on everything from set design and lighting to direction and marketing, providing a hands‑on learning experience while delivering a polished performance for audiences.
"It’s wonderful to see our youth take the helm of a production that has long been a staple of Bermudian culture," said a BMDS spokesperson. "Their fresh ideas and energy breathe new life into the story, and we’re proud to support their growth as artists while offering the public a vibrant evening of drama.
The show will run for nine nights, with tickets available online and at the theatre box office. Community members are encouraged to attend and support the next generation of Bermudian talent.
