In a move aimed at boosting community spirit and supporting local tourism, the popular pumpkin patch at Bermuda Dunes will welcome visitors at no cost on its opening day. The free admission policy, announced by the operators on Friday, is part of a broader effort to attract families and visitors to the area during the peak fall season.

The farm, which has become a staple of Bermuda’s autumn celebrations, offers a range of activities including pumpkin picking, hayrides, and a kids’ play area. While the opening day will be free, visitors are encouraged to purchase pumpkins and other farm‑fresh products on a cash‑only basis.

Local residents say the initiative will make the event more accessible, especially for families with limited budgets. "It’s a great way to bring people together and start the holiday season with a bit of fresh air and community spirit," said a long‑time neighbor.

The patch’s free day is scheduled for Saturday, September 15, and will run from 10 a.m. until dusk. In addition to the usual attractions, guests can also enjoy live music from local musicians and a photo‑op with a giant pumpkin backdrop.

The park’s management hopes the gesture will increase foot traffic, benefiting nearby shops and restaurants that often experience a surge during the fall months.
