The Mid Ocean Club in Tucker's Town has named Dimitri Frias as its new Clubhouse Manager, with the promotion taking effect on October 1. Mr Frias, a long-serving member of the club's team, steps into the role at a pivotal moment for the historic property.

A spokesperson for the club said the appointment reflects Mid Ocean's ongoing commitment to developing and investing in Bermudian talent. The promotion comes as the internationally recognised venue prepares to undertake a significant capital investment programme.

Central to those plans is a modernisation of the clubhouse itself, along with a restoration of the club's celebrated golf course under the direction of acclaimed architect Gil Hanse. The course, originally designed by Charles Blair Macdonald, has long been regarded as one of the premier layouts in the Atlantic region and a draw for visiting golfers from overseas.

The investment programme is expected to enhance the club's standing within Bermuda's tourism and hospitality sector, where high-end golf remains an important part of the island's appeal to visitors. Mr Frias's elevation to the management role underscores the opportunities available to Bermudians within the island's leading private clubs, as the Mid Ocean Club positions itself for its next chapter.
