The Ministry of Transport issued a brief bulletin this morning outlining four bus routes that will not run on Monday, October 5. The notice, released at 7:45 am, lists the cancelled services and advises commuters to seek alternative transport arrangements.
The affected routes include the 2B, 4C, 10A and 12B services, all of which normally serve key residential areas and the Hamilton business district. According to the Ministry, the cancellations stem from maintenance work on the main arterial roads and a temporary shortage of driver staffing.
Transport Minister Dr. Vanessa Clarke said the Ministry is working to minimise disruption and will resume normal service as soon as possible. She urged the public to check the Ministry’s website or the official bus app for real‑time updates and to consider car‑pooling or cycling where feasible.
This follows a series of earlier cancellations over the past week, with two runs cancelled on Tuesday and four on Thursday. Residents and commuters are advised to plan ahead, as the Ministry has indicated that similar adjustments may occur if roadwork or staffing issues persist. The Ministry remains committed to maintaining the reliability of Bermuda’s public transport system while addressing safety and operational requirements.
