A student-produced film capturing CedarBridge Academy's involvement in the 2026 Bermuda Day Parade will be broadcast on CITV next week, giving island viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the school turned parade participation into an educational project.
The film is scheduled to air from Monday, October 12 through Sunday, October 18. It documents the students' journey preparing for and taking part in one of Bermuda's most cherished cultural celebrations, highlighting the creativity and teamwork involved in bringing their parade entry to life.
A Government spokesperson said the school had transformed its students' participation in the parade into a broader learning experience, demonstrating how hands-on activities can strengthen engagement in culture, creativity and practical skills. The project allowed students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while connecting with Bermuda's heritage.
The Bermuda Day Parade, held each May, draws thousands of spectators along its Hamilton route and features floats, dance troupes, majorettes and community groups. CedarBridge Academy, the island's senior secondary school located in Devonshire, has regularly involved its students in the event. Residents interested in viewing the film can tune in to CITV throughout the week-long broadcast run.
