Bermudian martial artist Kaelin Cox has secured a significant victory at the Pan American Kungfu Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cox's win in the Traditional Other Southern Barehand Routine showcased the island's growing influence in the sport. The Bermuda Sanshou Association [BSA] is well-represented at the tournament, with BSA president Garon Wilkinson, Jecoa Burrows, Talia Iris and Jashae Allen-Lamontagne also representing the island. Wilkinson, who also serves as a coach, has been instrumental in building the local kung fu program. The BSA continues to send athletes to international competitions, raising Bermuda's profile in the sport. Cox's victory underscores the association's efforts to promote sanshou and wushu in Bermuda.
