Bermuda‑headquartered Banyan Risk Ltd has announced that it will now offer its casualty underwriting services in the United States excess and surplus (E&S) market, with new capacity supplied by Accredited Specialty Insurance Company.

The move follows a decade of growth for Banyan Risk, which has built a reputation as a specialist Managing General Agent (MGA) providing tailored solutions to insurers worldwide. By partnering with Accredited Specialty, the company will be able to deliver comprehensive coverage for a broad range of commercial exposures across the U.S.

Bermuda’s status as a global insurance hub has long attracted multinational firms seeking efficient, well‑regulated platforms. Banyan Risk’s expansion is expected to reinforce the island’s presence in the U.S. market, potentially creating opportunities for local talent and fostering knowledge exchange between Bermudian and American underwriters.

While Banyan Risk’s spokesperson emphasized the strategic nature of the partnership, industry observers note that the development could enhance Bermuda’s role in cross‑border risk management and bring additional capital into the island’s insurance ecosystem.
