Bermudian educators and school leaders will have the chance to step away from the classroom for a day of rest and professional growth when PinkSands Education founder Alandra Swan hosts a luxury wellness retreat on October 24.

The retreat, set to take place here on the island, is designed to give teachers and administrators time for restoration, personal reflection, meaningful connection and leadership development. Swan, an award-winning educator, previously organised Bermuda's first Teacher Wellness Retreat seven years ago and has since continued to champion the wellbeing of those working in education.

The event comes at a time when teacher burnout remains a growing concern in schools locally and abroad, with many educators facing heavy workloads and mounting pressures. Organisers say the retreat offers a thoughtfully curated experience aimed at helping participants recharge while also building skills they can take back to their schools.

Swan has built a reputation both in Bermuda and internationally for her work supporting educators, and the upcoming retreat continues her mission of placing teacher wellness at the centre of the conversation about improving education on the island.
