A long-standing Hamilton business is getting a fresh identity. Bermuda Elevator Systems Ltd. has confirmed it will begin operating under the name Elevity in the weeks ahead, marking a new chapter for the island firm founded back in 1979.

Over more than four decades, the company has established itself as the island's leading independent elevator service provider, handling installations, maintenance, and repairs across Bermuda's commercial buildings, hotels, and residential properties. Its portfolio includes work with internationally recognised manufacturers, among them TK Elevators, Savaria, Smartrise, and Matot.

Company representatives say the Elevity name is intended to reflect the values that have underpinned the business since its earliest days, while positioning it for future growth. The rebrand is expected to roll out gradually, with signage, documentation, and customer communications updated over the transition period.

For clients and building managers across the island, the change is one of name and presentation rather than ownership or service. The firm has indicated that day-to-day operations, staff, and its commitment to servicing Bermuda's vertical transportation needs will continue uninterrupted. The move comes as Bermuda's construction and property sectors continue to see steady demand for modernised lift systems in both new developments and ageing building stock.
