Junior officers from Bermuda and overseas have strengthened their strategic thinking and leadership capabilities through a professional development programme held on the island.
The training brought together early-career officers to examine the skills required to make sound decisions in complex and fast-changing environments. Participants focused on strategy, organisational planning and the practical challenges associated with managing people and resources.
The programme also gave officers an opportunity to exchange professional experiences and build relationships with counterparts from outside Bermuda. Organisers said the international mix of participants provided a broader perspective on leadership and encouraged discussion about approaches that could be applied across different organisations.
For Bermuda, the initiative offered a chance to support the development of future senior leaders while showcasing the island as a venue for professional training and collaboration. Participants were expected to take the lessons from the programme back to their respective organisations, with an emphasis on improving planning, communication and long-term decision-making.
