Bermudian motorcycle racer Jediah Cumbermack showed determination and grit at Donington Park in Leicestershire, closing out his 1P Mobile National Junior Sportbike Championship season with a pair of top-10 finishes in the final round.
Cumbermack crossed the line in ninth place in the opening race on Saturday before adding tenth position in Sunday's event, all while managing a forearm injury. The back-to-results capped a campaign in which the Bermuda's young talent continued to gain valuable experience on the competitive British junior circuit.
The island motorcycling community will no doubt be encouraged by the way the Bermudian racer handled the pressure of a demanding weekend. Finishing inside the top 10 in both races, particularly while carrying an injury, underlines the resilience and maturity the young rider continues to develop while competing overseas.
Cumbermack's performances at Donington add another encouraging chapter to Bermuda's proud tradition of athletes making their mark on the international stage. As the season concludes, the focus now turns to how the season's lessons will shape his approach to future competition.
